Wilkinson Eyre Architects’ design for a new campus for the College of North West London has received approval from Brent Council. The proposed £130m, eight-story development will be located at the site of the Olympic Office Centre, near Wembley Stadium. The final decision now lies with the Greater London Authority.

The new campus will span 14,000 square meters and will accommodate 3,000 students per week and 250 staff members. The design organizes college activities into identifiable horizontal layers, connected through a full-height atrium. The building will house various facilities, including construction engineering workshops, student services, a cafeteria, a TV studio, and an outdoor amenity deck with views of the Wembley Arch. The upper floors will feature flexible classrooms and social study spaces.

The project is commissioned by the United Colleges Group, formed through the 2017 merger of the College of North West London and City of Westminster College. Stafford Critchlow, Practice Director at Wilkinson Eyre, praised the group’s vision for the campus, stating that the design will make a confident statement about the value of education and skills in Brent.
