Blackpool Central – Spawforths’ Urban Renewal and Conservation Project

Yorkshire’s largest firm of independent Planning Consultants and Masterplanners, Spawforths have confirmed their involvement with the UK’s Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF), which is set to take place between 16-18 May, in Leeds.

Spawforths are an award winning and innovative multidisciplinary team of planners, master planners and architects.  Since its creation in 1988, the practice has so far promoted over £12 billion worth of development through the planning system across the North of England and helped facilitate the delivery of over 40,000 new homes and 25 million square feet of commercial floor space.

Taking to the stage on day-two of the annual UKREiiF event, Spawforths are hosting a panel of  investors, developers and local authorities, in a lively debate, discussing whether Yorkshire is truly open for business and ready for growth. The level of interest in the Yorkshire property market remains high and the panel will discuss Yorkshire`s development hotspots, the challenges facing investors and the role that infrastructure and transport investment has to play in delivering growth

Speaking of their involvement, Spawforths’ managing director, Adrian Spawforth, said “we have been operating in the Yorkshire region over five decades and worked with all the county’s local authorities to deliver over 4,500 projects.  We have seen all the positives that can occur when the public and private sector work closely together, as well as the downside of what happens when we fail to have joined up and honest conversations.  With the country facing significant economic challenges at the moment, it has never been more important that the region works together to unlock its economic potential.  The idea behind this round table event is therefore to have an honest and open conversation about the barriers that both the public and private sectors face in unblocking the constraints to greater prosperity across Yorkshire and the Humber, whilst at same time safeguarding those aspects of our identity, heritage and historic landscape that we all value so highly”.

Keith Griffiths, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of UKREiiF, said: “We’re excited to announce Spawforths involvement with next year’s event.”

“UKREiiF has become the place to get deals done and Spawforth has the opportunity to promote their message and business to a wide range of key decision makers and influential voices to help aid in building commercially rewarding relationships. We can’t wait to see what Spawforths has in store for their session.”

Led by property events company Built Environment Networking and supported by some of the biggest UK property and infrastructure companies, the annual UKREiiF event will be held in Leeds on 16-18 May 2023. The forum will attract inward investment, generate economic growth, and drive a more sustainable and inclusive culture within the property and construction industries.
