M Core, one of the UK’s leading commercial property collectives, has expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of Southampton’s Antelope Retail Park, a key part of a £35 million investment encompassing several retail centres.

The Antelope Retail Park, boasting an expansive 138,000 sq ft area, hosts a variety of popular stores including The Range, Lidl, Ninja Warrior, KFC Drive-Thru, The Gym, Greggs, and Costa Coffee. This acquisition highlights M Core’s commitment to enhancing retail experiences across the UK.

In addition to the Southampton site, the acquisition includes several other notable properties. These encompass the Meynell Road Retail Park in Darlington, featuring a 28,866 sq ft shopping area with prominent tenants like B&M and McDonalds; a substantial 37,005 sq ft Matalan store in Newport, Isle of Wight; and the Morrisons on Parkgate Road in Coventry.

James Buchanan, LCP group managing director, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, emphasising the high-quality nature of these multi-site assets. He noted the strategic locations and the significant potential for delivering improved returns through active management and enhancements. Buchanan also highlighted M Core’s continued investment in the retail sector, with over £125 million allocated this year alone and an ongoing strategy to actively seek further opportunities with a substantial £300 million fund.
