Major redevelopment for Saunders Lane in Hutton, Preston.

Divided into three redevelopment phases, the project will cost approximately £75m and take up to five years.

Facilities scattered across the 40-acre site will be demolished so new buildings can be built to create a modern new police area.

A great deal of the current HQ has been described as “at the end of its useable lifespan” due to “decades of underinvestment going back to the 1990s.

Many of the buildings at the nearby 15-acre Lindle Lane site for police horses and dogs will be renovated.
