There are many forms of investment that UK towns, cities and regions are seeking – some are looking for large capital deployment to drive transformational growth, some are seeking new businesses to invest in their region, some are seeking investment into critical infrastructure to create a more sustainable future, some are actively seeking impact investment to leave a lasting community benefit…the list of what investment we need can keep going.

Every region is different – and at UKREiiF we’ve tried to cater for this through a large ranging programme of content which brings together investors and developers from all different backgrounds…from more traditional real estate like residential and commercial, to sustainable energy and digital infrastructure, from logistics and industrial property to ever growing sectors like science, space and agri-tech.

This unique mix brings can only aid transformational investment into the UK.

Here’s an inside look of just a couple of things we did to ensure UKREiiF 2023 did this successfully….

International Trade Delegation

In 2022 we were asked to support the Department for Business and Trade – or Department for International Trade as they were knew back then – with an event they were hosting at the British Embassy in Hong Kong that brought together multiple investors, fund managers and influencers from across Asia.

This partnership has since grown and saw numerous investors and developers from Asia travel to the UK for UKREiiF 2023, with a trade mission resulting in a visit to Manchester and London with the UKREiiF attendance sandwiched in the middle. This was a great opportunity to showcase the opportunities of all sector types in the UK.

Facilitation Sessions

We work tirelessly to ensure that the right people are connected at UKREiiF and for the local towns, cities and regions supporting UKREiiF we hosted targeted facilitation sessions which saw us bring investors, developers and even end-users such as hoteliers, retailers and blue-chips like Amazon, Lockheed Martin and Toyota through the door.

These sessions allow local authority leaders to meet organisations that can help them bring projects forward – so whether they’re seeking pension fund capital to unlock a major scheme, or looking to meet housebuilders to help meet their housing targets, or they’re seeking to open a new hotel in their city or town…this is a unique facilitation session where we enable this to take place.

More Visible Investors

One of the asks following our 2022 event was to ensure more investor visibility – so we made the decision to ensure all UKREiiF run stage and pavilion content had at least one funder or investors included in the conversation, and we will continue to build on this.

It ensured that those deploying capital and making transformational investment into the UK economy had their voices heard, and enabled more connections to be made.

There’s too much to list but this gives a flavour of the activity that we ran at UKREiiF 2023 which enables the event to keep building on its investor attendance, and we have exciting plans for 2024 which will see this continue to grow.
