The group steering the UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum has been bolstered by two more senior industry figures.

Earlier this week Jen Hartley, a director at Invest Newcastle, was confirmed as a member of UKREiiF’s Advisory Group and she has been joined by Munroe K founder David Aspin and  Richard Nelson, who is the Chair of the Institute of Directors Property Special Interest Group (IoD Property SIG).

The Advisory Group now includes 24 of the most influential public and private sector figures, covering all sectors of the industry.

Event founder Keith Griffiths said: “I am delighted with the calibre of people we have assembled. We have a great range of voices and each one has a tremendous amount to offer.

David founded Munroe K, a property investment and development company, in 1995. It focusses on delivering excellence in design and deliverability whilst creating a sense of community in all of its projects.

Its flagship scheme, the White Rose Park in Leeds, boasts an enviable tenant roster and market leading retention rate. Adopting a ‘tenant first’ approach, developing and delivering schemes that work for the operational needs and effectiveness of its tenants and their employees, is at the heart of everything they do.

David has been an advocate for growth and investment at a regional level for many years, something that has seen him represent the Leeds City Region internationally in China, the USA, France and Spain. In 2018 David accepted an invitation from Leeds City Council and the LEP to be part of the prestigious MIT REAP programme, currently in place to help the region further its ambitions for the future.

As well as being chair of IoD Property SIG, Richard is a Committee Member of the IoD City of London Branch. The IoD Property SIG aims to provide connection, development and influence as a key organisation within the property and infrastructure sector, bringing together leaders nationally and internationally with an interest in the built environment.

He is also the Founder & Managing Director of Abyss Global, a niche management consultancy specialising in sustainable international expansion strategies and business development for design, construction and property companies, and he has experience in over 70 countries.

THE Government’s Build Back Better initiative and the ‘levelling up’ agenda are the two main themes of UKREiiF’s second webinar discussion to be held on Tuesday April 20 (1.45-3.30pm).

Gagan Mohindra MP, who chairs the All Party Parliamentary Group on Regeneration and Development, will be one four speakers alongside Joanne Ronay, chief executive of Manchester City Council, Paul Kelly, Development Director of the Scarborough Group, and Elizabeth Peckett, head of asset management for Allied London.
