Durham County Council, have confirmed their involvement with the UK’s Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF), which is set to take place between 16-18 May, in Leeds.

As part of an ongoing drive to deliver the County’s Inclusive Economic Strategy, Durham County Council have secured their spot in the UKREiiF exhibition hall where they will  engage with UKREiiF’s national and global delegates including, investors, developers, occupiers, and local authorities.

The County Council takes a strong approach to supporting businesses and enabling growth.  As well as managing over 1 million sq ft of property and around 550 units of commercial space including office, industrial and modern laboratories the council is also lead partner of prestigious developments such as Aykley Heads and Millburgate in Durham city.

The council’s business support service, Business Durham also provides business support services and access to finance including Finance Durham and County Durham Growth Fund.

Speaking of their involvement Amy Harhoff Corporate Director Regeneration Economy and Growth at Durham County Council said  “We are delighted to be showcasing County Durham to investors and developers at this year’s UKREiiF.  County Durham has long been the location of choice for businesses looking to invest and capitalise on new opportunities.

“It is our ambition to build a successful and sustainable future for our residents.  Together with the private sector there are plans to make billions of pounds of investment by 2035 with further plans for this to grow. We invite delegates to visit us at the event to find out the projects we are working on to create jobs, attract inward investment and build new homes in the county.”
