The Welsh Government has purchased 900 acres at Baglan Bay in Neath Port Talbot.

The land was purchased from St Modwen Developments.

The 900-plus acre land site at Baglan Bay is one of the biggest land deals in Welsh history.

The site includes the former BP Chemicals plant that shut down in the 1990s was bought by Cardiff Bay administration.

The area includes a section of the freehold interest of Baglan Energy Park, and was purchased for £1.75m.
