The UK Business Council for Sustainable Development (UKBCSD) has signed up to sponsor the Net Zero Pavilion, in partnership with City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council, at next year’s inaugural UKREiiF event, to be held in Leeds between 17-19 May 2022. UKBCSD’s sign-up comes hot on the heels of the Western Gateway, West Yorkshire Combined Authority, Thames Estuary Growth Partnership and JLL announcing their plans to be involved with UKREiiF.

For over 20 years UKBCSD has represented thought leaders, business trailblazers, innovators and disruptors coming together and uniting with the singular intent of securing a more sustainable world.

Combining policy with innovation UKBCSD members are given a voice and a “new generation” network to stand out from the crowd. They go beyond net-zero, shaping and delivering against every SDG, guiding others and becoming their benchmark.

Jason Longhurst Chair of UKBCSD explained: “As an organisation we support innovators, recognising brilliance and applauding bold, confident action, not just words. Leadership comes through our members, who focus on their collective drive to facilitate change. Our difference is in our commitment to working together, across sectors.

“It is these values that made sponsoring the UKREiiF Net Zero centre such a no-brainer for UKBCSD. When I look at the excellent programme that is being developed ahead of next May, with the relentless focus on Net Zero, sustainable development and collaborative working, I see an event that accords very closely with UKBCSD’s ambitions.  We are particularly pleased to be joining one of our member organisations, the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council, in the Net Zero Pavilion, which is already forging ahead with its Clean Growth agenda.”

UKREiiF founder and driving force Keith Griffiths, added: “Reaching Net Zero is an essential part of building a sustainable and liveable world. It is UKBCSD’s ambition to not just reach Net Zero, but to go beyond and ensure our world develops in a truly sustainable and inclusive way that I find so incredibly exciting, and I am thrilled that they have

Shown such a vote of confidence in UKREiiF, by signing up to sponsor our Net Zero pavilion.

“UKREiiF is a 24/7, 365 days a year project that provides a new way for the real estate, investment and infrastructure sectors to work together – driving deals and supporting sustainable growth as we emerge from COVID. UKBCSD’s sign-up is a really significant step forward, and I look forward to announcing more of these steps in the weeks ahead.”

Led by property events company Built Environment Networking and supported by some of the biggest UK property and infrastructure companies, the first annual UKREiiF event will be held in Leeds on 17-19 May 2022. The forum will attract inward investment, generate economic growth and drive a more sustainable and inclusive culture within the property and construction industries.
