DRIVING INCLUSIVE INVESTMENT

BOOSTING AND ACCELERATING INCLUSIVE, SUSTAINABLE AND TRANSFORMATIONAL INVESTMENT ACROSS THE UK

UKREiiF aims to drive inclusive investment and economic growth. Not only are we positioning ourselves with the largest cities and regional authorities across the UK – but we’re also actively working and speaking to smaller local authorities to ensure their opportunities are promoted and shared. We’re utilising many tools to do this including private facilitation meetings where we connect investors, developers and end-users directly to local authorities to create positive discussions that bring forward fresh investment and regeneration in their regions.

INVESTOR & DEVELOPER FACILITATION

We run private events at UKREiiF for the towns, cities and regions supporting the event.

We utilise an area to have tables for our local authorities to sit around, and invite selected investors, developers and end-users to have quality time with them.

We’ve had some incredible feedback – in 2023 we facilitated over 800 meetings between local authorities and investors through these meetings, in addition to other events and facilitation we run across the wider site.

INVESTMENT FOR ALL

UKREiiF isn’t just about the big cities – it’s true that London, Belfast, Cardiff, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle and many more have signed up!

But we’ve also got representatives heavily involved from many smaller authorities who are keen to have their voice heard.

We’ve set the costs for UKREiiF to allow involvement no matter the size of your location – whilst putting a price freeze in place for local authorities and regions.

DEPARTMENT FOR BUSINESS & TRADE

The UK’s Investment Minister Lord Dominic Johnson, and his predecesor Lord Gerry Grimstone have both offered their support for UKREiiF and believe it plays a key role in connecting the industry and capital to the opportunities we have across the UK.

We have worked incredibly closely with the Department for International Trade and through our partnership have attracted over 100 investor attendees from overseas, in addition to those attending domestically.

Their input goes beyond this however – with a dedicated UKREiiF Pavilion, VIP invite only events and more, they have a plethora of activity at UKREiiF.

The pinnacle of this in 2023 included an overseas delegation having physical tours of Manchester, Leeds and London in addition to their attendance at UKREiiF.

£17.6M LOCAL ECONOMIC IMPACT

Each year we commission a report by ARUP which looks to showcase the impact UKREiiF is having on the local economy and community. In addition to the multitude of investment and development deals that will be struck from the event the findings showed in 2022 we generated £5.5m for the local economy, and in 2023 we generated £12.1m for the local economy.

With a combined impact of £17.6m it’s likely in 2024 the event could create £20m from the three-day event having a major impact on the hospitality and leisure sector in Leeds.

The findings also showed 85% of delegates travelled from across the UK and Europe to visit Leeds with hotel capacity at 100%.

INVESTMENT SUCCESS STORIES

UKREiiF is all about facilitating introductions and in 2023 we had our first case study to reveal UKREiiF was integral to a £100m+ investment into Torbay.

We helped structure several sites across Torbay to be attractive to investors and developers alongside colleagues at REiiCON (Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Consultancy) and, packaging four sites together across Torbay, helped connect the council to investors and developers.

Following the correct processes and site visits with numerous developers and investors to Torbay, in 2023 a £100m+ deal was announced with Milligan and Willmott Dixon. There are many more in the pipeline which will be announced in the future too!
