UKREiiF 2026 may be a couple of weeks behind us, but the energy, pride and sense of achievement from the fifth annual event are still very much front of mind. From first timers experiencing the scale of UKREiiF for the very first time to team members marking their fifth year working behind the scenes, this year’s event was a milestone in more ways than one.

In the lead-up to the week, we caught up with Team UKREiiF to understand what they were most excited about, from months of programme development finally coming to life on stage, to unveiling the UKREiiF Insights Report and seeing ideas turn into impact. Now, with time to reflect, we’ve gone back to the team once more to hear their personal highlights from across the week, the moments that made all the hard work worthwhile and defined UKREiiF 2026.

James Bywood – Marketing Director

“Completing my first-ever UKREiiF was a real highlight. Seeing the entire site come to life throughout the build and set-up truly brought home the scale and ambition of this monumental event. It was fantastic to finally meet in person so many people I’ve spent months speaking with online, and to see projects such as the UKREiiF Insights Report launched and live on site. A particular highlight was having the opportunity to accompany marketing guru Rory Sutherland during his visit, which sparked some fascinating conversations and valuable insights.”

Millie Coolican – Operations Data Manager

“I really enjoyed being involved in the rollout of the badge mailing process, which helped reduce queues on site and made check-in run much more smoothly. I also liked being customer-facing and meeting lots of UKREiiF delegates, which made the experience feel more rewarding.”

Nicola Woolin – Business Generator Researcher

“My first UKREiiF was a complete whirlwind, in the best way. A real highlight was finally seeing first‑hand how all the behind‑the‑scenes hard work comes to life. Being able to lead on elements like the Great North event and our ISO 20121 journey was incredibly rewarding and watching both come together so successfully was a genuine proud moment.”

Rachna Rall – Research Manager

“Having worked on the event continuously since its inception in 2022, my fifth year at UKREiiF was a particularly rewarding one. A personal highlight was seeing the event’s exponential growth and how it has firmly established itself as a landmark in the real estate calendar. I’m excited to see what’s in store for 2027.”

Mya Driver – Senior Marketing Executive

“Completing my fifth UKREiiF feels like a real milestone. Seeing the team grow from strength to strength over the years has been incredible, and it’s been equally rewarding to develop our experience alongside the evolution of the event itself.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with South Facing this year on the PR side, their support is always hugely appreciated. And, of course, a special mention has to go to the giant cookie that we somehow managed to make our way through over the three days.”

Fahmida Nisa – Event Manager

“Another successful year at UKREiiF, and it’s been a privilege to see our partners’ spaces come to life once again. Watching projects evolve from initial drawings and floor plans into fully realised stages and environments never gets old, and it’s a sense of pride that’s hard to match.

Our F&B area proved a real highlight, with local vendors once again delivering fantastic food and drink for UKREiiF delegates.”

The team is already well underway with plans for UKREiiF 2027, and we’re excited about what’s shaping up for next year. Building on the success of previous events, UKREiiF 2027 promises an even more ambitious programme, bringing together the people, places and ideas shaping the future of the built environment.
