The UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF) has confirmed that its 2026 event will host The Shared Living Summit, delivered in partnership with Housed.

Housed: The Shared Living Podcast, hosted by Dan Smith, Sarah Canning and Deenie Lee, is dedicated to exploring the rapidly evolving shared living sector. The podcast covers a broad spectrum of asset classes, including Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA), Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO), Build to Rent (BTR), co-living and later living, essentially any rented residential model built around shared spaces and community.

Through in-depth discussions, industry interviews and analysis of the latest sector news, the hosts uncover what happens behind the scenes of shared living investment, development and management.

In partnership with key sponsors and collaborators (including headline sponsor Collegiate UK, Abodus Students, Utopi, The EWord, VerbaFlo, TLJ Group, This is Fresh, LOFT, Housing Hand, Scape UK and Miru Visuals so far with more to announce soon), the Shared Living Summit at UKREiiF 2026 will bring these conversations to the forefront, creating a dedicated platform for insight, debate and collaboration across the shared living landscape

Neil Burton from headline sponsor Collegiate UK comments: “Creating a dedicated Shared Living Summit is exactly the kind of signal our sector needs – focused, relevant, and properly convened around the real decisions facing investors and operators. Collegiate UK is pleased to be partnering with Housed to support this important step forward for the sector.”

Matt Christie, Director of External Affairs at UKREiiF, said: “After listening closely to feedback from shared living organisations, we made a clear commitment to deliver greater depth and a wider scope for the sector at UKREiiF 2026. Meeting the team behind Housed – The Shared Living Podcast was a real turning point for us; they share our ambition for the sector and have been brave enough to combine honest critique with action by helping to make this Summit happen. Thanks to the dedication from the Housed team, investors and operators across the shared living sector will benefit from special ticket offers and access to a dedicated space at UKREiiF. The Shared Living Summit will be the ultimate gathering of leaders from Build to Rent, PBSA, co-living and policymaking, bringing together the voices shaping the future of shared living in the UK.”

“As previous attendees of UKREiiF, we felt there was demand for more rented shared living content to be included in the agenda. With support from the UKREiiF organisers and the sector, we have put the wheels in motion to deliver a memorable and engaging experience for attendees. Honest conversations and challenging the sector have become synonymous with the Housed podcast, so expect more of the same in a live setting across the three days of UKREiiF. We are looking forward to seeing many attendees from the shared living sectors engaging with the content and networking within the Housed Shared Living Summit venue.”

UKREiiF is supported by some of the biggest UK property and infrastructure companies, the fifth annual event will be held in Leeds on 19-21 May 2026. The forum will attract inward investment, generate economic growth, and drive a more sustainable and inclusive culture within the property and construction industries.
