JPMorgan Chase has unveiled plans to build a new tower at its Riverside South site in London’s Canary Wharf financial district, set to become the largest office building in London at 3 million square feet. The project, announced on November 27, 2025, represents a multibillion-pound investment in London, reinforcing the city’s position as a leading global financial center.

The new headquarters will accommodate up to 12,000 employees, making it the bank’s largest office across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. At more than double the size of Britain’s tallest building, The Shard, and surpassing JPMorgan’s recently completed 2.5 million square foot global headquarters in New York, the London tower will be a landmark addition to the city skyline. Foster + Partners, the architecture firm behind JPMorgan’s New York headquarters, has been appointed to design the new building.

JPMorgan estimates the project will contribute approximately £9.9 billion to the local economy over the six-year construction period, generating around 7,800 jobs in construction and related sectors. Construction is planned to begin following receipt of necessary regulatory approvals and the maintenance of a supportive business environment in the UK.
