Commercial: National NewRiver REIT secures funds to table £147m Capital & Regional takeover September 19th, 2024 Deividas Krupstas NewRiver REIT has raised more than £50m via a share issue to enable them to big for Capital & Regional.The announcement – a cash and share offer – would create a shared portfolio for the businesses of nearly £900m.Newriver said that there was a “strong strategic, operational and financial rationale” for the bid, and that both companies would “benefit from enhanced scale, material cost savings… [and] better access to acquisition and asset management opportunities”.“[The proposed bid] represents a unique opportunity to create a significantly enlarged portfolio at an attractive point in the market cycle,” NewRiver REIT said.
