Belfast Harbour has received planning permission to proceed with the construction of a nine-storey building, the latest addition to its City Quays project.

The development, which will primarily consist of office space, will feature hospitality facilities on the top floor and retail units on the ground floor. This marks the fourth phase of the City Quays project, which previously included office spaces, a Marriott hotel, and a multi-storey car park.

Additionally, Belfast Harbour has also obtained approval for a 256-unit residential development earlier this year.

Kevin Ryan, development director at Belfast Harbour, stated, “Creating a vibrant inner harbour continues to be one of the organisation’s key strategic goals.”

The City Quays development spans a 20-acre site around Clarendon Dock, adjacent to the River Lagan.
