Wakefield-based firm, Strong Life Care, has acquired its fifth purpose-built care home, Hesslewood House Care Home in Hessle.

This multi-million pound purchase was facilitated by a finance package from NatWest.

The care home will offer elderly residential and specialist dementia care for the local community.

The acquisition not only expands Strong Life Care’s portfolio but also secures 65 jobs.

Additionally, the deal includes refinancing for the company’s existing four care homes located in Barnsley, Tuxford, and Wakefield, further strengthening its position in the healthcare sector.

Harpreet Banwait, managing director and founder of Strong Life Care, established the business in 2010 after his own family experienced difficulties in finding quality care for their grandfather. The company acquired its first care home, Thornhill House, in Barnsley in 2010.

Meurig Edwards, relationship director at NatWest, commented: “We are pleased to support Harpreet and Strong Life Care in this important milestone. Harpreet’s dedication to providing exemplary care and his commitment to community and philanthropy align with our values of supporting businesses that make a positive impact in their communities.”

Banwait added: “I am thankful for the partnership with NatWest, which has allowed us to expand our operations and continue our mission of being one of the UK’s best and most diverse care providers. We remain committed to our vision of growth and service excellence, with plans to further expand our footprint in the care sector this year and make a greater impact through our Family Foundation.”
