Hines has announced the sale of The Mint Building in Edinburgh, a prestigious property located on St Andrew Square, for £41 million.

The Mint Building, which was completed in 2019, offers approximately 70,467 square feet of space across nine floors. It features modern amenities, including a double-height reception area, roof terraces, secure parking, cycle storage, and facilities for commuters. The building includes 59,427 square feet of Grade A office space and 11,040 square feet designated for restaurant or retail use.

Currently, the property is fully let to four tenants: FNZ, Nationwide Building Society, Franco Manca, and Tattu. The building is also notable for its all-electric design and an EPC rating of A.

Colin Finlayson, a director at Lismore Real Estate Advisors, which is handling the sale, described The Mint Building as a “trophy asset” in one of Edinburgh’s most sought-after locations. He highlighted the unique opportunity to acquire a recently developed property with an attractive income profile.

The Mint Building is part of The Registers, an £85 million regeneration project developed by the local Chris Stewart Group and designed by Hoskins Architects.
