Anglian Water has initiated a search for delivery partners to assist in its extensive capital programme over the next 15 years, with contracts amounting to £750 million. The initiative includes the development of two major reservoir projects in the Fens and Lincolnshire, projected to be operational by the mid to late 2030s.

Serving regions including Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Northamptonshire, and Suffolk, Anglian Water aims to bolster its infrastructure to support future water supply demands. The company seeks to establish partnerships that will extend across a 15-year period, ensuring comprehensive integration and effective delivery outcomes that benefit both customers and the environment.

The scope of the partnership will cover various aspects of programme management, from health and safety, systems planning, and project reporting, to regulatory compliance and continuous improvement strategies. Additionally, it will encompass pre-enabling activities like stakeholder engagement and design feasibility, as well as direct construction-related services.

Interested parties have until the 30th of April to express their interest in participating, with a detailed webinar scheduled for the 25th of April to outline further specifics of the contract and project expectations. The formal contract notice is anticipated to be published in June.

This announcement comes as part of Anglian Water’s ongoing commitment to sustainable water management, following their recent confirmation of continued partnerships with major industry players such as Balfour Beatty and Skanska in the @one Water Alliance for the upcoming asset management period.
