Southampton City Council has officially onboarded four housing providers to its Affordable Housing Framework. These providers, namely Abri Group, Hyde Group, Sovereign Housing Association, and Stonewater Ltd, will collaborate with the council to develop affordable homes on council-owned land throughout Southampton. The initiative, which began in April 2023, aims to address the city’s pressing need for affordable housing. The properties developed will offer a mix of social rent, affordable rent, and shared ownership options. Further details about the land release and specific sites are expected to be announced later this year.
