UKREiiF – Social Value

Social value is being placed at the heart of UKREiiF.

It’s incredibly important that we as an industry consider and measure social value from the perspective of those affected by an organisation’s work – placing value on the positive changes we can make in people’s lives.

Social value has a huge potential to help us change the way we understand the world around us, and make decisions about where to invest resources. By changing the way we account for value, we can enable a world with more equality and a more sustainable environment.

Considering the social, economic and environmental impact of procurement, construction and development – social value is now more important than event. The public sector has already started to attribute greater weighting to social value questions and the private sector seems to be following suit. UKREiiF hopes to accelerate this change, helping create new jobs and skills, tackling climate change whilst improving diversity, innovation and resilience.

Putting Social Value at the forefront of UKREiiF

When developing the UKREiiF agenda, we have worked closely with Government, Parliamentarians and the private sector to make sure UKREiiF not only generate positive social value from the event and the investment that will stem from it, but to also inspire others to be a Social Value champion within the industry – to stimulate new ideas, drive change and influence businesses to ensure social value and social impact is embedded into their values and future activity.

The UK’s Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum Annual Event

3-Day Event – 3,000+ Attendees – 250+ Speakers – 100+ Exhibitors – 50+ Fringe Events

The UKREiiF movement will culminate in an annual event – the first of which will be held in the city of Leeds during May 2022. This event will take over the city, creating a vibrant festival feel across the whole of Leeds with inspirational talks, high level speakers and influential attendees.

The event will help enable the UK’s bid to Build Back Better – directly connecting investors, developers, the public sector, funders and end-users to inward investment, creating new relationships and unlocking inclusive economic growth.

The UK needs a platform for the public sector to showcase the scale of development progress and the profile future investment opportunities to investors, developers and occupiers from around the globe that is right here in the UK – and that is the platform UKREiiF provides.
