Zoopla has acquired 100 per cent of the online property portal newhomesforsale.co.uk in a move that enhances its position within the UK new-build residential market. The undisclosed transaction forms part of Zoopla’s strategy to expand its services for housebuilders and increase its presence in the new-home buyer journey.

newhomesforsale.co.uk collaborates with more than 200 developer clients and lists around 2,500 active new-build developments across the UK. The platform connects more than one million buyers each year with new homes, providing developers with a direct route to a high-volume audience actively searching for properties.

The acquisition complements Zoopla’s recent partnerships with leading UK housebuilders, including Taylor Wimpey and Persimmon. It also broadens the company’s digital offering for developers seeking stronger visibility and improved lead generation within the competitive new-build housing market.

As part of the transaction, newhomesforsale.co.uk will continue to operate as a standalone brand and maintain its existing website. The leadership team, including founder and managing director Vernon Pethard, alongside all ten employees, will move over to Zoopla to support the continued development of the platform. The business will operate independently while contributing to Zoopla’s wider strategy in the UK new-build sector.
