The funding will address the urgent need for good-quality, longer-term housing across Wales and will support a wide range of housing solutions for individuals and families struggling to find a home.The £55 million boost is dedicated to the TACP, which enables the rapid creation of homes by acquiring existing properties, converting non-residential buildings into housing, and bringing empty homes back into use. Over the past three years, the programme has invested more than £275 million, helping to create over 2,700 homes and bringing more than 930 void properties back to life. The new funding is expected to deliver hundreds more homes, specifically targeting those most in need.The funding has been allocated as part of the 2025 Supplementary Budget, demonstrating the Welsh Government’s ongoing commitment to tackling housing pressures and providing sustainable, secure housing options across the country.Wales continues to face significant challenges in housing supply, with a historic backlog and an ambitious target to deliver 20,000 social homes during the current Senedd term. UKREiiF will bring together local authorities, housing associations, developers, and investors and the Wales Pavilion will highlight successful projects such as the Transitional Accommodation Capital Programme and promote collaboration on future housing and infrastructure schemes to those attendees.
