Weaver Vale Housing Trust (WVHT) has expanded its portfolio by acquiring 89 homes from Auxesia Homes, a private housing provider in northern England. This acquisition increases WVHT’s total holdings to over 6,500 properties throughout Cheshire.

The newly acquired properties, located in areas such as Moulton, Kelsall, and Wilmslow, include a mix of affordable rent and shared ownership homes. These recently built, high-quality homes are set to meet the needs of local communities.

WVHT Chief Executive Wayne Gales expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition, stating, “Everyone deserves a place to call home, and we are thrilled to have welcomed 89 new households to the trust. With this addition, we and our shared ownership brand ‘Prospa Homes’ are on track to deliver our commitment to add 500 much-needed new affordable homes into our management over the next five years to help meet the ever-growing demand across Cheshire. We are committed to delivering sustainable, high-quality homes that meet the needs of the communities in which we work and making a positive impact locally.”

The transfer of these homes means new customers will benefit from having a locally-based housing provider and access to the range of services offered by the trust. This move is expected to be a talking point at upcoming property networking events in Cheshire, where industry professionals gather to discuss such developments. Events like these are excellent opportunities to explore how to win construction contracts and to share networking tips for the property sector.

Ryan Blair, Chief Operating Officer at Auxesia Homes, commented, “We are pleased to have completed the transfer of homes to Weaver Vale Housing Trust, allowing us to reinvest the proceeds into additional high-quality, safe, energy-efficient homes across the north of England. We are committed to our mission of providing an additional supply of affordable homes each year and continue to support public service workers in their search for an affordable new-build home in places they want to live. We consider Weaver Vale Housing Trust to be a highly credible and trusted housing association who will continue to support the needs and consider the interests of the residents.”

This development is expected to be a key topic at various property investment events in Cheshire, where experts will discuss the impact and opportunities such acquisitions bring to the region. Additionally, this initiative will likely be of interest at housing authorities tenders and construction business events in the area, as it highlights the ongoing efforts to provide quality housing and support community growth.
