Trebor Developments and Hillwood have successfully acquired a substantial 345,000 sq ft unit in Crewe. This acquisition was made from AEW UK Core Plus Property Fund through an off-market deal. The site, previously occupied by Bargain Booze earlier in 2023, is set for a complete overhaul.

Spanning 13 acres, the site already boasts detailed planning consent for a 335,000 sq ft logistics unit. Construction activities are scheduled to commence in Q1 2024, with pre-construction works, including the demolition of the current unit, beginning this Autumn. The new facility aims to offer state-of-the-art, sustainable accommodations to both regional and national entities, particularly those operating along the M6 corridor.

Greg Dalton, Development Director for Trebor, expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition, emphasizing Trebor’s proactive approach to securing new opportunities. He highlighted the company’s commitment to enhancing the logistics space in the region.

Knight Frank (Manchester) represented Trebor and Hillwood during the acquisition and will continue to serve as joint letting agents in collaboration with Avison Young. TT&G Partners represented AEW UK Core Plus Property Fund in the transaction.
