TPG Angelo Gordon and Ridgeback Group Partner with GS8, a Leading UK Housebuilder Specialising in Planet-Positive Homes June 6th, 2024 Mya Driver GS8, a market leading UK housebuilder specialising in planet-positive homes, today announced that it has received a significant strategic investment from TPG Angelo Gordon and Ridgeback Group to support the continued growth of the business. The investment will support GS8 as it targets delivery of up to 1,000 new homes per annum over the next five years, with an average GDV of £650m (per 1,000 units).Founded by Josh Gordon and Ben Spencer, GS8 focuses on regenerative housing developments. The carbon stored in the homes exceeds the embodied carbon needed to build and maintain them. Renewable energy generated on-site exceeds the annual energy consumption of these homes, guaranteeing zero energy bills in partnership with Octopus Energy. GS8’s project The Arbour in Walthamstow won a Regional RIBA London Award and the RIBA London Sustainability Award.GS8 has already transacted on three projects in connection with this investment: a site in Epping Forest for 113 homes, a site in Three Rivers for circa 100 homes and a 4-acre strategic land site in Buckinghamshire – and is seeking new opportunities to enable its pipeline growth.In addition to the investment from TPG Angelo Gordon and Ridgeback, GS8 continues to bolster its skilled team.
