Housing & Residential: North West Torus Invests £17.2 Million in Latest Project: Building New Homes in St Helens November 30th, 2023 Mya Driver Torus Developments is reaffirming its commitment to expanding affordable housing in St Helens by investing £17.2 million in the construction of new homes on Rutland Street in Cowley Hill, St Helens.As part of a three-year initiative aimed at constructing over 500 new homes in St Helens, Rutland Street will feature Shared Ownership houses and Affordable Rent apartments for residents over the age of 55.With a strong focus on reducing both the carbon footprint of the development and future residents’ energy bills, Rutland Street showcases Torus Developments’ dedication to becoming an environmentally conscious, forward-thinking developer. The project is partly funded by Homes England’s Strategic Partnership 2012-2026 program and £1.16 million from Mayor Steve Rotheram’s Brownfield Land Fund.
