The UK’s Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF), its platinum partner The Pagabo Group and B Corp-certified placemaking specialists Patch have announced the finalists for new and exciting initiative The Pitch.

The Pitch is a brand-new platform for innovators, disruptors, and problem-solvers to promote their business to an all-star audience of investors and a top-level panel of industry leaders in Leeds on Thursday 23rd May.

Hosted in the Pagabo Group Pavilion at UKREiiF, the organisers have invited applications from start-ups that have a product or service ready to scale across the UK, with guaranteed exposure to the senior industry leaders, who can make it happen.

UKREiiF, The Pagabo Group and Patch have whittled down over 50 applications, and have selected 6 innovative start-ups to showcase their ideas and businesses to a group of leading individuals in hopes to win investment and exposure.

The finalists are:

  • SkenarioLabs – Technical, financial and ESG risk metric solutions software for financial institutions and asset managers.
  • Built AI – An AI-powered platform that enables real estate investors to make the best data-driven investment decisions.
  • Kettel Homes – Open market rent-to-own programme helping first-time buyers achieve their goal of homeownership.
  • Material Index – One-stop-shop platforms for material management and reporting, from pre-demolition audits to material procurement and exchange.
  • Roots Allotments – The world’s first no-dig allotment community with sites across the UK, building a movement to help people get back to growing their own.
  • Qualis Flow (Qflow) – Digital platform enabling construction teams to collect real-time materials and waste data at the source.

Topi Tiihonen, CEO and Co-Founder of SkenarioLabs, said: “We are very much looking forward to The Pitch at UKREiiF 2024! The event presents a valuable opportunity for us to engage in meaningful discussions around sustainability in the built environment, with particular emphasis on the critical role of data in driving this forward. Our commitment to enhancing sustainability through advanced data analytics is stronger than ever, and we’re eager to collaborate with leading decision-makers at the forefront of real estate innovation.”

Robin Perrault, Head of Growth and Strategy at Built AI, said: “We are thrilled to have been chosen by UKREiiF as one of the Pitch finalists, outperforming over 50 leading PropTechs!

We take pride in developing advanced AI powered tools that support leading real estate institutions every day. This selection recognises the hard work of our team and the invaluable trust of our clients. It will be an honour to stand alongside the most forward-thinking companies and address the industry’s top decision-makers.

We can’t wait to share our vision and showcase how Built AI is building the future operating system for real estate investment firms.”

Trevor Stunden, Chief Executive Officer at Kettel Homes, said: “We are honoured to participate alongside such a great group of companies at the UKREiiF Pitch event. It provides an invaluable opportunity to showcase Kettel Homes’ innovative approach to addressing the housing challenges faced by first-time buyers in the squeezed middle. We are excited to share our vision and demonstrate how our rent-to-own model is reshaping the landscape of homeownership, offering a sustainable pathway to the next generation of homeowners.”

Morgan Lewis, Director, Architect, at Material Index, said: “’UKREiiF has a unique ability to pull together the most critical players in the industry, and Material Index is delighted to be introducing our platform for material reuse at scale here. The Pitch is an invaluable opportunity to reach the people that matter.”

Christian Samuel, Founder of Roots Allotments, said: “We set up Roots Allotments to create shared spaces for people, local food production and nature. It was really important to us that we provide members with everything they need to get started, from seeds, tools, plants, to growing advice, whilst fostering community with in-person workshops and events. The spaces consist of a mixture of biodiversity boosting habitats like native woodland and hedgerow, fruit orchards, insect habitats, ponds, and wildflower meadows. Together we can show that food can be grown with nature and not against it.”

Britanny Harris, Co-Founder and CEO of Qualis Flow (Qflow), said, “We are excited to be attending UKREiiF and joining leaders from across the industry to exchange lessons learned, connect and share how Qflow is leveraging data to decarbonise construction.”
