Canary Wharf Group (CWG) has announced that SmartestEnergy is expanding and extending its office footprint at Canary Wharf, reinforcing its commitment to growth and innovation in the global energy sector.

SmartestEnergy, the energy company helping businesses navigate the energy transition, has secured a new agreement to grow its European headquarters at The Columbus Building, 7 Westferry Circus. The expanded office now spans approximately 20,000 sq ft, forming a key part of the company’s global expansion strategy across the US, Australia, and targeted European markets including Germany, Benelux, Spain, and Portugal.

The enhanced London space will support the continued growth of SmartestEnergy’s Trading function, provide collaborative zones for employees, and feature event spaces for industry engagement. These facilities will host initiatives such as those with the Women Utilities Network, helping to foster dialogue and collaboration across the energy industry.

The move underlines Canary Wharf’s appeal as a hub for progressive, purpose-driven companies and reflects CWG’s commitment to offering flexible, future-ready workspaces.
