The social housing provider plans to breathe new life into the Halton Lea area with a redesign of the local centre, new mixed-tenure housing in Palace Fields and improvement of Hallwood Park.

Estimates put the project cost at £60m over 10 years with a further £30m in public funding.

Still in its early design stages, the consultation launches September 20th.

Under initial proposals designed by Liverpool-based DK Architect, Riverside would demolish sections of the housing in The Uplands neighbourhood.

The local centre would be redesigned to offer better travel routes and provide improved community space, facilities, and services for residents.

Riverside plans on submitting a planning application in mid-2023, and start in 2024.
