A PIONEERING initiative set up to get more diverse young people into property careers will play a major role at next year’s The UK’s Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF) in Leeds.

It’s been announced that Regeneration Brainery – an award-winning social mobility programme that gives brilliant young minds a pathway into property and regeneration careers – will be the forum’s official charity partner.

The UKREiiF event is in partnership with Pagabo and is set to take place between 21-23 May 2024, in Leeds. Partnering with Regeneration Brainery will see the event put a greater focus on Diversity and Inclsuion.

The non-profit Regeneration Brainery was established in 2017 and has been making waves in the UK by working with almost 6,000 young people to date, spanning cities such as London, Manchester, Bristol, Leeds, Liverpool, Birmingham and Sheffield.

Its unique approach focuses on boosting diversity by giving young people, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds, a taste of the various careers in property and regeneration through a mix of week-long immersive ‘Brainery Bootcamps’; networking and mentoring opportunities, where young people get access to leading industry experts who have carved out inspirational careers; and by creating access to work experience placements, internships and apprenticeships.

This prestigious partnership positions Regeneration Brainery at the Canal Connections House during The UKREiiF annual event. They’ll take over the space space to host discussions, workshops, and other activities with UKREiiF’s expected delegation of over 10,000 developers, investors, occupiers, government, and local authorities.

Regeneration Brainery’s partnership with UKREiiF has reaffirmed its dedication to fostering inclusion and diversity within the property and infrastructure industry.

Led by the UK’s leading property events company Built Environment Networking and supported by some of the biggest UK property and infrastructure companies, the third annual UKREiiF event will be held in Leeds on 21-23 May 2024.
