Regeneration Brainery announced as official UKREiiF 2024 charity partner as part of major diversity and inclusion push October 19th, 2023 Mya Driver A PIONEERING initiative set up to get more diverse young people into property careers will play a major role at next year’s The UK’s Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF) in Leeds.It’s been announced that Regeneration Brainery – an award-winning social mobility programme that gives brilliant young minds a pathway into property and regeneration careers – will be the forum’s official charity partner.The UKREiiF event is in partnership with Pagabo and is set to take place between 21-23 May 2024, in Leeds. Partnering with Regeneration Brainery will see the event put a greater focus on Diversity and Inclsuion.The non-profit Regeneration Brainery was established in 2017 and has been making waves in the UK by working with almost 6,000 young people to date, spanning cities such as London, Manchester, Bristol, Leeds, Liverpool, Birmingham and Sheffield.Its unique approach focuses on boosting diversity by giving young people, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds, a taste of the various careers in property and regeneration through a mix of week-long immersive ‘Brainery Bootcamps’; networking and mentoring opportunities, where young people get access to leading industry experts who have carved out inspirational careers; and by creating access to work experience placements, internships and apprenticeships.Speaking of their involvement, Michele Steel from Regeneration Brainery, said: “UKREiiF’s commitment to diversity and inclusion in the industry and widening engagement with young people from under-represented groups is the perfect fit with Regeneration Brainery.“We’re absolutely thrilled to be the official UKREiiF charity partner and can’t wait to crack on with creating a takeover programme of events at that shows the industry the talent and creativity of our bright young minds.
