Cheshire West and Chester Council’s planning committee will review the next phases of Redrow Homes’ Ledsham Garden Village project in Little Sutton next week.

In 2015, Redrow Homes received outline consent to develop the 260-acre site off Ledsham Road in Ellesmere Port, which includes a local shop and a primary school. The latest plans cover 627 homes across six phases and 100 acres, representing more than 25% of the overall scheme.

CWAC’s planning department has recommended these phases for approval. The proposed homes include eight one-bedroom, 155 two-bedroom, 244 three-bedroom, 192 four-bedroom, and five five-bedroom houses, apartments, and bungalows. The plans also incorporate 156 affordable homes.

The project team includes landscape architect Trevor Bridge Associates and environmental consultant The Environment Partnership. If approved, the total number of homes in the development will reach 1,647.

Redrow has already constructed or is in the process of building hundreds of homes in the area. Planning permission for phase one was granted in 2015, with phases two, three, and four following in 2020.
