The UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF) hosted a vibrant and successful Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Leaders Breakfast on Wednesday 21st May.

The event, held at the Regeneration Brainery Studio in the Dockside Zone, brought together leaders and allies from various organisations committed to promoting diversity and inclusion within the real estate and infrastructure sectors.

Sponsored by Maples Teesdale, Accession Network, RICS, and TFT, the event highlighted the importance of fostering a more diverse and inclusive industry. Over 75 organisations were represented, including Women in Property, Freehold LGBT+, the BAME Planners Network, and Muslims in Rail.

A key highlight of the breakfast was a charity raffle, where four lucky winners had the opportunity to donate a total of £1,800 to their favourite charities, with the funds generously provided by the event sponsors.

“Diversity and inclusion are at the core of building a sustainable future for the real estate sector. This breakfast event and the charitable donations reflect our ongoing dedication to these values.” Louise Brooke-Smith OBE FRICS, RICS Board member and DEI Chair

“Part of building a more inclusive built environment is bringing together people with different backgrounds and experiences, all shaping the future. The inspiring advocates and organisations joining this event are improving our working world step by step, and we’re pleased to support them.” Emily Brodie, Associate at TFT

“Accession Network is proud to sponsor the UKREiiF D+I breakfast aligning with our belief that every story and success should be valued and that ‘we rise by lifting others’. ” Laura Mazzeo, Director

“It’s inspiring to see so many organisations come together to drive change in our industry. We are honoured to support the raffle and the important work being done by these charities.”

The D&I Leaders Breakfast provided a unique platform for networking, discussion, and the continuation of vital conversations around diversity and inclusion. The generous donations made during the event will support the important work of the chosen charities, further extending the impact of this significant gathering.

The beneficiaries included organisations dedicated to cancer support, women’s advancement, LGBTQ advancement, and hospice care for terminally ill patients.
