Planning permission has been submitted for the second phase of the Tustin Estate redevelopment in south-east London. This phase is part of a broader plan to revitalise the area, including the construction of 295 new homes, of which 151 will be affordable, and 144 will be private tenure. The redevelopment is designed to meet the needs of the local community, incorporating feedback from residents and maintaining the estate’s green spaces.

The Tustin Estate project, which will be developed in four phases, aims to provide a mix of housing options, including 250 replacement council homes, 220 additional council homes for social rent and keyworker accommodation, and 220 homes for sale. The development will also feature a central park, refurbished existing homes, 1,800 sqm of commercial space, and a new primary school.

This ambitious redevelopment could be a key topic at upcoming *property networking events in London*, where industry professionals may discuss the project’s impact on local infrastructure and housing markets. It might also be highlighted in *real estate networking events in the South East*, given its scale and community-focused approach.

Bouygues UK has been appointed as the Development Partner for the project and will act as both contractor and developer. The design team, led by dRMM, has collaborated closely with Southwark Council and the local community to ensure the redevelopment aligns with the Tustin Residents Manifesto.

“The planning submission for Phase Two is a milestone in the redevelopment of the Tustin Estate,” said Phillippa Prongué, Managing Director of Bouygues UK for London and the South East. “We are excited to continue our collaboration with Southwark Council and the local community to bring this ambitious scheme to life.”

This redevelopment project may attract interest from those seeking to learn ‘how to win construction contracts in London’, given its scope and importance in the region.

Phase One, which includes 167 homes, is already under construction with completion expected next year. The entire redevelopment is scheduled for completion by 2030.
