3,100 jobs and £182m of income a year are the benefits of a proposed expansion of Oxford Science Park.

Plans from 2022 outlined an expansion of three four-story buildings which will acts as offices and containment level two (CL2) laboratories for life science research and development purposes.

883 car parking spaces would be provided with a multi-storey car park attached to number three building.

The original application for the development stated that the project would create 3,100 full-time equivalent jobs.

It is estimated that the plans would generate an additional £182m a year.

The application is now set to go before Oxford City Council’s planning committee with a recommendation for approval.
