OnLogistics, a Solihull-based company specialising in e-commerce and order fulfilment services, has acquired Exact Logistics, based in Rugby.

Exact Logistics, founded in 2009 by Adam and Karen Shuter, offers palletised freight delivery services and has expanded to provide final mile distribution for European hauliers, mainly German, and has an in-house customs clearance team. Adam and Karen Shuter will continue as Directors and the company will operate as a separate entity while remaining a member of the Pall-Ex freight distribution network.

Nick Bennett, Managing Director of OnLogistics, expressed excitement about the acquisition, saying, “I’m thrilled to be leading Exact Logistics on the next stage of its journey. Our portfolios are complementary so we can exploit the synergies to support customers to grow across sectors as well as geographically throughout Europe.”

Karen Shuter added, “We are incredibly proud of our team and the strong relationships we have built with our customers over the years. We are confident that Exact Logistics will thrive under new ownership, with a promising future ahead. Importantly, OnLogistics is a family business just like us and shares the same values, particularly when it comes to customer service.”

Barry Byers, Managing Director of Pall-Ex Group, commented, “Exact Logistics has been a high-performing member of the Pall-Ex network for over 10 years and the acquisition by OnLogistics will encourage growth and prosperity for the company. We look forward to working with Nick Bennett and Samuel Mann of OnLogistics together with the existing Exact team.”

The acquisition was managed by KBS Corporate, with Alston Asquith and Burgis & Bullock advising the sell side, and 43 Legal advising OnLogistics.
