Commercial and Offices: Yorkshire McLaren Property plans 45-storey building in Leeds alongside two new office builds February 14th, 2023 Mya Driver Developer McLaren Property has submitted plans for a major new BtR scheme in Leeds alongside two lower-rise office blocks which is set to transform the Leeds skyline.The BtR tower has been designed by Glenn Howells Architects – a hexagonal-shaped building, similar to their Octagonal building set for Birmingham.This residential build will deliver more than 460 homes and rise up to 141m, meaning it will be one of the tallest buildings in the county. The office buildings will be 14 and 15 storeys in height delivering 435,000 sq ft of office space.The scheme also includes a public realm and green amenity space – creating a new gateway to the West End of Leeds and helping to support the Leeds Innovation Arc where a new innovation district is being delivered in the heart of Leeds city centre supported by the new Leeds hospital.Matthew Biddle, managing director, McLaren Living, said: “It is fantastic to continue to work with Leeds City Council and we are excited to share our plans for a landmark development for the city.“Wellington Square will be a sustainable, permeable and vibrant new neighbourhood for the West End of Leeds, with placemaking and sustainability at its heart.
