Marks & Spencer has unveiled a new 100,000 sq ft flagship “renewal” store at Merry Hill, consolidating and expanding its previous space to create one of the centre’s key anchor destinations.

The new store brings together M&S’s offer into a single, upsized unit, replacing and extending its former footprint. It features the latest renewal format, including a market-style Foodhall, wider aisles, an in-store bakery, dedicated wine and flower areas, and M&S Select Farm produce.

The flagship store offers expanded fashion, home, and beauty ranges, with womenswear located on the lower mall, and home, menswear, and kidswear together on the upper mall as a full fashion destination. A new M&S coffee shop situated just outside the main store provides breakfast, lunch, cakes, pastries, and barista-made drinks, complementing the in-store food offer.

This expansion follows a significant investment package by M&S and Merry Hill’s owners, underlining M&S’s long-term commitment to the centre, where it has traded for around 35 years. The new store positions M&S as a best-in-class anchor alongside other major tenants such as Hollywood Bowl, Harvey Norman, and XF Gym, supporting Merry Hill’s ongoing strategy to grow footfall and enhance its tenant mix.
