The University of Manchester is on the lookout for a student housing partner to undertake a significant redevelopment project at its Fallowfield campus. The contract, valued between £275m and £400m, involves the design, construction, financing, and operation of new student halls.

The ambitious plan aims to replace existing bedspaces with up to 3,300 new ones, resulting in a total of 5,400 beds across the Fallowfield campus. The redevelopment will be carried out in phases and includes the demolition of Owens Park Tower, which has been closed for several years.

The chosen partner will not only be responsible for the construction but will also have an ongoing maintenance responsibility for 50 years, starting from 30th September 2025 until 2075.
