Lomond has announced the acquisition of Tay Letting, significantly enlarging its footprint in the Scottish rental market. The deal brings more than 2,000 properties across Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Dundee into Lomond’s portfolio, marking its fourth major acquisition in Scotland within a span of nine months.

The newly acquired properties will be integrated into the operations of DJ Alexander, Lomond’s leading brand in Scotland, enhancing its lettings portfolio to over 10,000 properties. This move increases Lomond’s total managed units across its UK High Street brands to 42,500, emphasizing its aggressive growth strategy in the competitive property management sector.

Ed Phillips, CEO of Lomond, expressed enthusiasm over the acquisition, highlighting Tay Letting’s reputation as a top-tier property management specialist in Scotland. He noted that the addition of these properties strengthens Lomond’s position in crucial Scottish regions, reflecting the company’s confidence in the robustness of the Scottish rental market. Phillips praised the efforts of the Lomond team in facilitating a smooth transition for both landlords and tenants.

David Alexander, Lomond’s CEO in Scotland, echoed Phillips’ sentiments, looking forward to extending DJ Alexander’s bespoke services and market expertise to a new clientele. He affirmed the company’s commitment to scaling up operations in Scotland and exploring further acquisition opportunities.

Marc Taylor, founder of Tay Letting, expressed his satisfaction with the transition, entrusting the firm to Lomond and the well-regarded DJ Alexander brand. He assured that landlords and tenants would continue to receive exceptional service under the new management.
