Property developer Ken Ross has purchased Hallhill Developments, the large mixed-use development in Dunbar, for an undisclosed sum.

The 400-acre project consists of more than 1,500 homes, sports facilities and 56 acres of forest, in addition to school services and commercial and retail units.

Mr Ross said: “I am proud to have worked for Dunbar for many years and now look forward to continuing to deliver and complete the work started by the previous owners.

“Hallhill has proven extremely successful, creating a place where people want to work, live and play. The development offers an excellent range of housing including affordable housing, excellent educational facilities, road infrastructure and sports facilities.

“As Dunbar’s population increases with new homes, we have been able to make the necessary investments needed to provide the facilities desired by the community and ensure their continued sustainability.

“I look forward to growing at Hallhill and delivering sustainable development that addresses climate change and the needs of the community.”
