The Imperial War Museum and Gonville & Caius are currently seeking a development partner for the Duxford AvTech project, set to develop around 45,000 square metres of land at IWM Duxford into a state-of-the-art aviation technology campus.

This ambitious development is intended to encompass employment spaces classified under use classes E(g), B2, and B8, focusing on enhancing the aviation technology industry. The project’s comprehensive scope includes securing planning permission, arranging funding, overseeing construction, securing tenants, and managing the estate to ensure a profitable long-term investment.

The search for an experienced developer is underway, with the contract’s value yet to be announced. Proposals are welcome until 2 August 2024, with the project completion aimed for August 2026. This initiative marks a significant advancement in developing the historical Duxford site, promising substantial economic development and technological innovation.
