Expands UK Footprint with Acquisition of Iconic Cardiff Property October 6th, 2023 Mya Driver Goldmoney Inc., a leading player in the precious metals market, has announced the acquisition of a significant property in Cardiff, Wales. This move comes as a part of the company’s real assets investment strategy. The newly acquired property is the Wales Millennium Centre Phase II, also known as BBC Hoddinott Hall and Offices. This iconic building, with a gross internal area of 62,116 square feet, is a part of the renowned Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay.The acquisition includes the world-class BBC Hoddinott Hall, which is home to the National Orchestra of Wales and can seat up to 350 people. Additionally, the property houses the state-of-the-art Grace Williams Studio, a recording studio with a capacity of 60 people, and a 16,114 square foot Class A office building. The property, built in 2009 by Sir Robert McAlpine, was acquired from Aviva Investors Lime Fund for £17.2 million.Goldmoney Properties financed the acquisition with a loan from Barclays PLC, with a loan-to-value ratio of approximately 44%. The majority of the building is leased to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), generating a net rental income of £1.6 million annually.
