GenesisCare, one of the UK’s leading independent cancer care providers, has announced plans to open a new 27,000 sq ft oncology and haematology treatment facility in Leeds. The centre is scheduled to open in early 2026 and will be the organisation’s 15th and largest location in the UK.

The development represents a major expansion of advanced cancer services in the North of England and Scotland, positioning Leeds as a hub for innovation in cancer care and research.

The new facility will include two advanced radiotherapy platforms with the ability to deliver real-time personalised radiotherapy using MRI and CT imaging, a feature available in only a small number of centres worldwide. Patients will also have access to a wide range of systemic therapies including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormone therapy and targeted therapy, delivered in private treatment suites with one-to-one nursing care.

In addition to clinical treatments, the centre will offer holistic support services such as mindfulness, reflexology, acupuncture, exercise medicine and tailored nutritional advice. Through GenesisCare’s partnership with the charity Penny Brohn UK, patients will also benefit from dedicated emotional and wellbeing support.

The Leeds centre is designed to improve access to advanced cancer treatments for patients across northern England and Scotland, who might otherwise need to travel to Oxford or London for similar care. By expanding local availability of world-class therapies, the new centre is expected to improve both patient outcomes and quality of life.

This development marks a significant milestone for Leeds, strengthening its role as a growing centre of excellence for cancer treatment and research.
