Frasers Group has received approval from Rugby Borough Council for its ambitious plan to build a new headquarters campus on green belt land near Ansty, Warwickshire. Despite significant opposition, the council’s planning committee voted seven to five in favour of the project, which will cover 112.9 hectares (approximately 279 acres).

The development will include five warehouses spanning 3.3 million square feet, a 100-room hotel providing accommodation for visitors and business partners, research and development facilities supporting innovation and product testing, offices and retail concept testing spaces enhancing business operations, sports facilities including a swimming pool for staff and community use, a helipad offering enhanced transport connectivity, and multi-storey car parks providing ample parking for staff and visitors.

The project is anticipated to deliver substantial economic benefits, including an estimated £69 million annual contribution to the UK economy, approximately 5,800 full-time jobs created locally, support for up to 750 additional retail stores nationwide, and the generation of around 11,000 new jobs across towns and cities in the UK.
