Four Seasons Health Care Group, previously one of the largest care home operators in Britain, is set to be sold for around £300 million. The company has engaged CBRE, a property agent, to manage the sale.

The decision follows a significant restructuring phase, during which Four Seasons reduced its size through a series of asset sales. Despite these changes, the company continues to employ over 4,000 people and operates more than 45 freehold care homes, serving thousands of residents under the Four Seasons and Brighterkind brands.

Joe O’Connor, who took over as chief executive in 2022, has led the company’s turnaround. Recent quarterly results have highlighted improvements in performance under his leadership.

Industry analysts estimate the company’s current value at approximately £300 million, attracting interest from both financial and industry bidders. A financier noted that the recovery in healthcare asset valuations makes this an opportune moment for the sale.

The auction process is expected to commence in the coming months.
