This initiative is part of a broader plan to build a new £123.6 million campus, set to open in August 2024.The new campus, which is yet to have a developer attached, will merge pupils and staff from both schools with Fife College, housed in modern, eco-friendly facilities. Prior notifications for the demolition of the two schools have been submitted, and a complete clearance of both sites is planned. While there is no developer currently linked to the project, the cleared sites offer potential redevelopment opportunities. The council has not yet determined the future use of these sites but has indicated that they represent a significant opportunity for redevelopment. Both high schools will remain operational until the summer term of 2024, after which the new campus is expected to take over. Fife Council has committed to providing more information about the demolition and redevelopment process as plans progress.
