FI Real Estate Management (FIREM) has been granted planning permission to construct a new 74,000 sq ft industrial space at the Deeside Industrial Estate. This approval expands FIREM’s property holdings in North Wales to an impressive three million sq ft. Nationwide, FIREM is set to develop 6.5 million sq ft of new industrial areas. The construction at Deeside Industrial Estate is slated to commence next year, with FIREM’s construction division, FI Construction, taking the lead. The company plans to collaborate with local suppliers and promote employment in the North Wales region as part of its broader community impact initiative.

FIREM, already the most significant industrial landowner in North Wales, boasts 2.8 million sq ft of space at the Wrexham Industrial Estate. Recently, they obtained planning consent for an additional 150,000 sq ft of industrial and logistics space there, which will elevate their investment in Wrexham Industrial Park to £160 million. FIREM is also advancing its plans for the 62.8-acre Kingmoor regeneration project at the estate. Although a planning application is yet to be submitted, the company envisions constructing one million sq ft of warehouse and office areas for logistics and distribution at an estimated construction cost of £80 million. This development is projected to generate 1,200 new job opportunities.

Tim Knowles, the founder and managing director of FI Real Estate Management, expressed his views on the project. He emphasized the need for businesses to have access to high-quality, flexible spaces that align with their goals, whether it’s expansion, relocation to eco-friendly premises, or leveraging North Wales’ connectivity. Knowles stated, “Our strategy in North Wales is straightforward but effective. We aim to regenerate land to unlock potential, create employment, and boost productivity. We are eager to replicate this success for businesses in Deeside.”
