Cinch Self Storage is set to launch a substantial new self-storage facility in Swindon. The company recently acquired a brownfield site at Cheney Manor Industrial Estate, located to the north-west of Swindon town centre. This addition will expand Cinch’s existing portfolio of 20 facilities, primarily located in the South East.

The new facility, scheduled to open its doors in late 2024, will offer 68,000 sq ft of lettable space. It will cater to both domestic and business customers, providing over 700 units. These units will serve a variety of purposes, including self-storage rooms, workshops, retail units, and office spaces.

The company’s leadership believes that this new facility will significantly benefit the local economy. It aims to attract more businesses to the region and create job opportunities for the local community.

Richard Owen, Co-founder of Cinch Self Storage, expressed his enthusiasm about the new site. He highlighted the company’s commitment to sustainability and the local community. By revitalizing a previously neglected brownfield site and introducing eco-friendly measures, Cinch aims to create a facility that benefits both the local economy and the environment.

Established in 2018 in Oxfordshire, Cinch Self Storage now boasts a team of over 40 full-time employees. With nine self-storage facilities currently under development, the company is actively seeking opportunities to further expand its footprint. Three of these new facilities are expected to commence operations later this year.
