This initiative is also expected to create additional employment opportunities in the area.A key feature of the proposed building is the inclusion of 378 square metres of flexible office space at the forefront, overlooking Edgware Road and Staples Corner West Roundabout. Managed by Big Yellow, these office spaces will vary in size, ranging from 10 to 50sqm. They are designed to be utilised either independently or in conjunction with the storage facilities, providing versatility for various business needs.The site currently houses a car dealership, which will be demolished to pave the way for this new development. The planning statement highlights a significant increase in floorspace with the new building, which will offer 15,172sqm more than the existing facility.Big Yellow Self-Storage, with a portfolio of 109 stores across the UK, including 47 in London, has identified a growing need for self-storage and affordable workspace, especially in the north-west London area. The new development is tailored to meet the needs of small and medium enterprises as well as online businesses, providing a much-needed boost to the local economy.
