Avant Homes propose £20.4 million project, consisting of 83 new homes in Wakefield January 22nd, 2024 Mya Driver Avant Homes has proposed a project to create a £20.4 million multi-tenure development consisting of 83 new homes in Wakefield.The project named Altofts Acres, is a 6-acre development situated off Wharfedale Drive, featuring a mix of one to four-bedroom homes, a selection of which will be designated as affordable housing.Work is expected to start in June, if the green-light is given, with first residents expected to move in February 2025.Richard Hosie, Managing Director at Avant Homes West Yorkshire, said: “We want to provide quality new homes for everyone in popular locations where people want to live.“Altofts is just such a place. It has a great sense of community and provides residents with easy access to local amenities, Wakefield city centre and the M62.“We also know there is high demand from people living locally, or thinking of moving to the area, for the type of practically designed, energy efficient new homes that we build.“We now look forward to Wakefield Metropolitan Borough Council’s response to our submission.”
